Which location suits a press day that focuses on sustainability? A topic that our client, Uzin Utz, a full-range supplier in the flooring industry, has been pushing for decades. Where should Uzin’s new floor system for ecological moisture barrier – Uzin HydroBlock – be presented to trade journalists? The obvious solution was the company’s Dutch headquarters, the “green” factory, one of the most environmentally-friendly industrial buildings in the Netherlands. On site, the press representatives were able to form their own impression – from the development of healthy and environmentally-friendly products, to CO2-neutral production, alternative packaging, and recycling. As an example, Uzin Utz is currently introducing plastic canisters made of recycled plastic (PCR); by the end of 2020, approximately 500 tons of recycled packaging materials are to be used. With that said, the Uzin Utz Group lives sustainably on an international level. The company’s strategy for the coming years will continue to involve sustainable thinking, shaping action in many respects of its business.
